Under the guidance and close supervision of head coach Mai Van Duc and the coaching staff, the players are focusing on improving their physical fitness, refining individual techniques, developing their coordination and tactical awareness, and reaching their best possible condition ahead of the continental competition.
Head coach Mai Van Duc said that Da Nang’s beaches have strong appeal and regularly host major domestic and international sporting events. They have also served as an ideal training venue for the Vietnam Beach Soccer Team ahead of international competitions in recent years. With its long, spacious coastline and vibrant atmosphere, the training venue at East Sea Park offers favourable conditions and provides motivation for the squad as they prepare for the upcoming tournament.
“The Vietnam Beach Soccer Team will continue their training in Da Nang before travelling to Thailand ahead of the tournament. We are now entering the final, intensive phase of preparations to complete the remaining work. The coaching staff hope that, with some of Vietnam’s finest beach soccer players given the opportunity to compete in this tournament, the team will achieve the targets set,” Mai Van Duc said.
From the players’ perspective, veteran defender Mai Van Manh also expressed his determination ahead of the competition.
“Every tournament brings challenges, but also provides opportunities for my teammates and me to gain experience and improve our technical level. I am delighted to be participating in the AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup for the second consecutive time. This competition brings together the continent’s top teams, and we will give our utmost effort and determination to fulfil the task assigned by the coaching staff,” he said.
