160 young players take part in Youth Women’s Football Festival 2026 in Vinh Long

Following the success of the 2026 Youth Women’s Football Festival in Đồng Tháp, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), in cooperation with the Vĩnh Long Football Federation and relevant partners, organized another festival on 15 June at Hoàng Việt Football Ground in Tân Thanh Bình Commune, Vĩnh Long Province, as part of the FIFA Women’s Football Campaign Programme.

Representing the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) at the event was Ms. Trương Hiếu Hường, Head of the International Relations Department.

Representing the host province were Mr. Nguyễn Đình Tiến, President of the Vĩnh Long Football Federation, and Mr. Đặng Châu Phi, Deputy Head of the Sports Management Division under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vĩnh Long Province, along with numerous parents and young players participating in the Festival.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Trương Hiếu Hường expressed her gratitude to the leaders of Vĩnh Long Province’s departments and agencies, the Vĩnh Long Football Federation, as well as local organizers, schools and related units for their support and cooperation in ensuring the successful organization of the event.

The VFF representative emphasized that the Youth Women’s Football Festival not only provides a fun and meaningful platform for girls who are passionate about football, but also helps promote the positive values of the beautiful game, including teamwork, self-confidence, fair play and an active lifestyle. The festival also serves as an opportunity to identify and nurture promising young talents for the future.

On behalf of the local organizing committee, Mr. Nguyễn Đình Tiến, President of the Vĩnh Long Football Federation, highlighted the significance of the Festival for the development of women’s football in the province. He expressed his confidence that the programme would provide fresh impetus for the continued growth of women’s football in Vĩnh Long, while encouraging clubs to maintain and expand their youth development activities across different age groups in order to build a strong pipeline of talent for the future.
