In the match between Ho Chi Minh City FC and Dong Nai, the Ho Chi Minh City youngsters controlled much of the game but were surprisingly pegged back when Khanh Hoa put Dong Nai ahead in the 31st minute.

The result saw Ho Chi Minh City finish top of Group B with six points to book a place in the quarter-finals, while Dong Nai were eliminated.

In the other Group B fixture, Song Lam Nghe An and PVF-CAND played out a hard-fought 0-0 draw in a closely contested match. The result saw Song Lam Nghe An finish second in Group B, while PVF-CAND advanced to the quarter-finals as one of the two best third-placed teams.

In Group C, Hanoi continued to demonstrate their strength with a 3-1 victory over Dong Thap. Phi Hung opened the scoring in the 29th minute before Manh Quan netted a brace in the 33rd and 74th minutes. Dong Thap pulled one back through Quoc Trung in the 82nd minute. Despite being reduced to 10 men after Lam Tan was sent off in the 87th minute, Hanoi held on to secure the win, finishing the group stage with a perfect record of three victories from three matches to top Group C.

Meanwhile, Hue achieved their objective of reaching the knockout stage with a 2-0 victory over Lam Dong. Duc Tri and Anh Ky found the net in the 52nd and 70th minutes respectively, securing second place in Group C for the former imperial capital side.
