2026 HDBank National Futsal Championship: Thái Sơn Bắc crowned champions for the first time after a 16-year wait
Finishing the season at the top of the standings, Thái Sơn Bắc were officially crowned champions of the 2026 HDBank National Futsal Championship, securing their maiden national title after a 16-year wait.

Entering the final round just one point behind Thái Sơn Bắc, Thái Sơn Nam TP.HCM had no choice but to defeat Sahako and hope their title rivals slipped up in order to retain the championship.
Coached by Trần Văn Vũ, Thái Sơn Nam TP.HCM started brightly and took the lead in the eighth minute. Châu Đoàn Phát’s turn and shot took a slight deflection off a Sahako defender before finding the back of the net.
Sahako responded swiftly just two minutes later, with Moreira firing a precise diagonal finish into the corner to level the score at 1-1.
Determined to keep their title hopes alive, Thái Sơn Nam TP.HCM continued to press forward and restored their advantage in the 14th minute through a composed finish from Italo Bob.
Early in the second half, Quang Toàn equalised for Sahako to make it 2-2, but that proved to be the visitors’ final contribution on the scoresheet. In the 25th minute, Minh Mẫn converted Anh Duy’s assist to put Thái Sơn Nam TP.HCM back in front, before Thịnh Phát sealed a 4-2 victory with a goal in the 32nd minute.
The win ensured Thái Sơn Nam TP.HCM fulfilled their part of the task and piled pressure on Thái Sơn Bắc ahead of the later kick-off.
Facing Tân Hiệp Hưng TP.HCM, Thái Sơn Bắc entered the match knowing that victory would guarantee them the championship. The capital side made the perfect start, with Công Đại tapping home from close range in the fifth minute after a low cross from Thạc Hiếu.
After the break, Mota doubled the lead with a direct free-kick from the 10-metre mark. As Tân Hiệp Hưng TP.HCM adopted the power-play tactic in the closing stages, Thái Sơn Bắc capitalised ruthlessly, adding further goals through Công Đại, Quang Vinh, Trọng Kiên and another strike from Công Đại to complete an emphatic 6-0 victory.
The three points ensured Thái Sơn Bắc retained top spot in the standings and were officially crowned champions of the 2026 HDBank National Futsal Championship. It marked the club’s first-ever national futsal title after 16 years of patient investment and squad development.
