AFF congratulates Vietnam U17 on winning the 2026 ASEAN Championship
The ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) has sent a congratulatory letter to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) after the Vietnam U17 Women’s Team proudly won the 2026 ASEAN U17 Championship.
In the letter, AFF Secretary General Winston Lee, on behalf of AFF President Khiev Sameth, the Executive Committee, and the Secretary General, expressed warm congratulations to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and the U17 Vietnam team for their impressive achievement in the tournament.
AFF highly appreciates the performance of the U17 Vietnam team throughout the competition, emphasizing that the team demonstrated technical quality, fighting spirit, and team cohesion. “The championship is a well-deserved result, reflecting the effort, discipline, and professionalism of the players, coaching staff, and team members,” AFF highlighted in the congratulatory letter.
Additionally, AFF acknowledged the contribution of the U17 Vietnam team to the overall quality of the tournament, thereby enhancing the reputation and image of the Southeast Asian U17 Championship. This achievement is seen as proof of positive progress in the development of youth football in Vietnam.
