Vietnam U15 secured a 4-1 victory over Mauritius U15 in their third Group R match at the FIFA U15 World Cup & Festival 2026, held on the evening of 25 October in Azerbaijan. This marked the second consecutive win for head coach Hoang Anh Tuan’s side, following their 6-0 triumph over Brunei U15 in the previous match.
Vietnam U15 made a positive start and took the lead in the 12th minute. Following a well-organised attacking move, Phuoc An found the net to put Vietnam ahead.
However, Mauritius U15 drew level in the 23rd minute through Ethan Hitié. Vietnam responded by maintaining pressure and continuing to push forward in search of another goal.
In the 27th minute, Van Tai restored Vietnam’s lead. The forward then struck again in the 38th minute to complete his brace and extend the advantage to 3-1. In first-half stoppage time (40+1), Xuan Vinh scored Vietnam’s fourth goal to seal a 4-1 victory.
The result provided Vietnam U15 with further international match experience and an opportunity to continue developing their technical abilities at the FIFA U15 World Cup & Festival 2026. The tournament is played in an 8v8 format, aiming to develop young players’ skills, tactical awareness and adaptability.
According to the schedule, Vietnam U15 will next face Iran U15 and Guyana U15 in their remaining Group R matches.
