Opening Ceremony of the 2025 National Futsal Referee Training Course
On the afternoon of February 11th, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) organized a training course for referee assessor and referees participating in the 2025 National Futsal Championship. The opening ceremony was attended by VFF Vice President Trần Anh Tú, Chairman of the Arbitration Committee Đặng Thanh Hạ, along with 53 referees and 10 match commissioners.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Arbitration Committee Đặng Thanh Hạ stated: “Vietnam Futsal has achieved impressive accomplishments, having qualified for the World Cup twice. This is the result of continuous efforts from many individuals, including the significant contributions of referees who have officiated at national futsal competitions. In the upcoming season, referees and assessors must improve their skills to meet the growing development of Vietnamese futsal. The Arbitration Committee hopes that you come here with a mindset of learning, aiming for the best results, so that you are well-prepared for the new season.”
On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), Vice President of VFF, Trần Anh Tú, delivered a directive speech and agreed with the opinion of the Chairman of the Arbitration Committee, Đặng Thanh Hạ, emphasizing: “In addition to the achievements of the men’s Futsal team, in 2024, the Vietnam women’s Futsal team also had remarkable success. Alongside the championship title at the 2024 ASEAN Women’s Futsal Championship, the Vietnamese women’s Futsal team also won the championship at a friendly tournament in Thailand. To achieve success at the national team level, the role of referees in domestic competitions is extremely important. If referees manage the matches well, it will help players develop good behavior and conduct when playing internationally. Vietnamese Futsal will make great progress.”
VFF’s Vice President Tran Anh Tu also hopes that more Vietnamese futsal referees will have the opportunity to officiate at international tournaments. In order to achieve this, referees need to improve themselves through domestic league matches. “The number of matches is not many, with only 28 matches in the first leg and 28 in the second leg, so you must raise your level on your own. I also hope to see more futsal referees on the international stage,” said Tran Anh Tu, Vice President of the VFF.
The training program for Referee Assessors and Referees of the 2025 National Futsal Leagues will take place from February 11 to February 14, 2025. During this training session, assessors and referees will be updated with the latest knowledge on the rules, presented with challenging situations for analysis, and reflect on experiences to help them gain a more accurate perspective. In particular, referees will undergo physical and theoretical tests to ensure the best preparation for the upcoming season.
