Vietnam Football Federation launches school football programme experience activities at Marie Curie School

As part of the cooperation agreement between the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and the Union of European Football Associations on women’s football development (UEFA/AFC), the VFF has launched experiential and pilot training activities at several schools. The first stop was Marie Curie School, where a physical education session was organised for students.

After defeating Myanmar women’s national U17 football team 2-1, Vietnam women’s national U17 football team unexpectedly surpassed Thailand women’s national U17 football team to secure second place in Group A, thereby earning a place in the quarter-finals of the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup 2026.

Immediately after the match, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Football Federation, President Tran Quoc Tuan congratulated the entire team and expressed hope that the players would maintain their form and continue to perform successfully in the quarter-finals. The Standing Committee of the VFF Executive Board also decided to award the team a bonus of VND 500 million in recognition of their achievement.
