Head coach Philippe Troussier shares his experiences with trainees of the A/AFC/VFF certification coaching course
On the afternoon of November 22, head coach of the Vietnam national team Philippe Troussier had a meeting and shared experiences in coaching with trainees who are studying the 2023 A/AFC/VFF certified coach training course. Here is a standard certificate for coaches at national professional tournaments, so the course’s trainees have received special attention from the French strategist.
As the person with extensive experience in coaching from club level to team level in many different countries, Coach Philippe Troussier’s sharing of expertise has created great attraction for the trainees of the A/AFC/VFF certificate coach training course. Through this sharing session, coach Philippe Troussier wants to convey more clearly and in more detail his perspective on using personnel as well as the playing philosophy that he is building for the Vietnamese team. In addition, vivid examples from practice during the training process of the Vietnamese team, typical situations in two recent “real combat” matches in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers have been discussed and gave specific answers by the France strategist. He also encouraged trainees to ask questions and concerns about the team’s training methods and playing style, thereby going straight to professional content with convincing analysis.
It is known that trainees of the A/AFC/VFF certified coach training course in the near future will be the ones to join the coaching force at national professional tournaments, including many prominent faces are former players such as Le Phuoc Tu, Pham Thanh Luong, Mai Tien Thanh, Dinh Thanh Trung, Tran Duy Quang, etc. This means they will also have an important role in supporting the team’s head coach through training and building playing styles at clubs to have certain synchronization with the team’s playing style.
The A/AFC/VFF 2023 certified coach training course (phase 2) will end on November 24. Trainees who qualify for certification will be qualified to hold the position of head coach of clubs in the V.League according to AFC regulations.
