Opening the Football for school in Vietnam training program
This morning (March 20), the FIFA Football for school in Vietnam training program, organized by the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, opened at Thuc Nghiem School.
Attending the opening ceremony, on FIFA’s side were Ms. Fatimata Sidibe – FIFA Football for Schools Director; consultants and instructors: Mr. Melvin Mendy, Mr. Antonio Buenano Sanchez, Mrs. Khloud Sebak, Mr. Andrew Massey, Mr. Jose Ariston Padre Caslib.
On the side of VFF, there was Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha – Deputy General Secretary; Mr. Luu Quang Dien Bien – Director of Grassroots, Education Coaching and Affiliate MAs , Mr. Nguyen Hoang Phuong – Director of FFAV Project, and members of the organizing committee.
Representative of the Ministry of Education is Mr. Tran Van Lam – Deputy Director of the Department of Physical Education. On the host side, there is Mr. Tran Quang Hung – Principal of Thuc Nghiem School; Ms. Doan Hai Quynh – Vice Principal of the school.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, instructors Antonio Buenano Sanchez said: “I very happy to present in Hanoi, in order to launch the Football For School program. Firstly, I would like to congratulate VFF to join in our F4S project”.
He also emphasized that football is a powerful platform, from which we can bring good effect to society, to wish every child in the world will not only have the opportunity to play football, but also promoting social development.
Also sharing with the trainees, Mrs. Fatimata Sow Sidibe – FIFA Football for Schools Director expressed that in the next 2.5 days of the training course, the trainees will gain the valuable knowledge and foundation to serve future work and develop football for school. She also thanked the VFF and the Ministry of Education for creating the conditions for the course.
Mrs. Fatimata Sow Sidibe shared that each teacher here is an ambassador who will bring the image and brand to develop the football for school in Vietnam.
Representative of the program’s host, Mr. Tran Quang Hung – Principal of Thuc Nghiem school welcomed the trainees who were present and participated in the program, and thank the Ministry of Education and VFF for trusting and creating the opportunity for the school to organize this meaningful event. Mr. Tran Quang Hung affirmed that physical education through sports is important and necessary for schools, so this training is extremely important.
Representative of the Vietnam Football Federation, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha – Deputy General Secretary sent thanks to FIFA, the Ministry of Education, the Thuc Nghiem school, and teachers from localities who attended the training program.
Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha emphasized that being a beneficiary of the FIFA Football for school program in Vietnam is an honor, and at the same time a challenge for VFF and the Ministry of Education. “Through this training program, experts from FIFA will share valuable knowledge so that teachers can gain basic knowledge, which is the foundation for us to join hands to develop school football, becoming a solid foundation for professional football in Vietnam.”
The FIFA Football For School in Vietnam program took place from March 20 to March 22 at Thuc Nghiem school (Hanoi), with the participation of 74 trainees are officers, teachers, and physical education instructors at schools under the Department of Education and Training in the Northern region.
During the training period, trainees will experience theoretical and practical lessons, thereby conveying basic knowledge about school football, especially 3 main contents: how to use the app of football for school; apply life skills to lessons; and how to protect children. Through this program, FIFA hopes to not only develop students’ physical health, fitness, and skills but also develop life skills and create an equal life for children.
