VFF Announces Main Sponsor and Holds Draw for the 2026 National U17 Championship – Rồng Đỏ Cup
On the afternoon of 10 July, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) hosted a ceremony at its headquarters to announce Rồng Đỏ Energy Drink (URC Vietnam Co., Ltd.) as the main sponsor and conduct the draw and schedule announcement for the Finals of the 2026 National U17 Football Championship – Rồng Đỏ Cup.

Attending the ceremony on behalf of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) were Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hoi, Standing Member of the VFF Executive Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Phu, VFF General Secretary; Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau, VFF Deputy General Secretary and Head of the Tournament Organising Committee; and Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha, VFF Deputy General Secretary.
Representing the sponsor was Mr. Joseph Ryan Consul, Marketing Director of URC Vietnam Co., Ltd. The ceremony was also attended by representatives of the teams participating in the Finals, both in person and online via the VFF Channel YouTube channel, as well as representatives of press and media agencies.
The partnership between Rồng Đỏ Energy Drink and the 2026 National U17 Football Championship Finals marks an important milestone, as it is the brand’s first time serving as the main sponsor of a national-level football tournament. The partnership demonstrates Rồng Đỏ’s commitment to energising Vietnam’s next generation of football talent and passionate young people.
Speaking on behalf of the VFF leadership, VFF General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu expressed his delight at URC Vietnam Co., Ltd. becoming the main sponsor of the 2026 National U17 Football Championship Finals – Rồng Đỏ Cup.
He emphasised that URC Vietnam’s partnership demonstrates the company’s interest in and commitment to the training and development of youth football, while also contributing to improving the quality of the tournament’s organisation and expanding its reach.
Nguyen Van Phu highlighted that Vietnam U17’s historic qualification for the 2026 FIFA U17 World Cup for the first time is clear evidence of the effectiveness of the country’s youth development system. It also underscores the important role of the national youth competitions system, including the National U17 Football Championship.
The VFF believes that, with thorough preparations by the Organising Committee, the continued support of the sponsor, and the teams’ commitment to fair play and an entertaining style of football, the 2026 National U17 Football Championship Finals – Rồng Đỏ Cup will deliver exciting, high-quality matches while continuing to discover and nurture talented players for Vietnamese football.

Immediately after the signing ceremony, the Organising Committee conducted the draw to determine the groups for the Finals of the 2026 National U17 Football Championship – Rồng Đỏ Cup.
This year’s tournament features the 12 best teams to have advanced from the qualifying round and will take place from 16 to 29 July 2026 at Pleiku Stadium and Ham Rong Sports Centre in Gia Lai.
The draw results are as follows:
Group A: Hosts LPBank HAGL, The Cong Viettel 1, Da Nang and PVF.
Group B: Song Lam Nghe An, Ho Chi Minh City FC, PVF-CAND and Dong Nai.
Group C: Hanoi, Hue, Dong Thap and Lam Dong.
