The Cong Viettel I and PVF make winning starts at the National U17 Championship Finals – Cup Rong Do 2026

In the opening match at Pleiku Stadium, hosts LPBank HAGL started confidently and controlled the early stages of the game. However, The Cong Viettel I gradually took command and broke the deadlock in the 29th minute. From a corner kick on the right flank, the ball was delivered into the penalty area, causing a scramble in front of goal before Thành Đạt reacted quickest to fire home.

The hosts responded swiftly, with Mạnh Nguyên equalising in the 35th minute to make it 1-1. However, a defensive lapse proved costly as Đại Nhân capitalised on a rebound to restore The Cong Viettel I’s lead, giving his side a 2-1 advantage heading into the half-time break.

After the break, The Cong Viettel I took complete control of the match. Just one minute into the second half, the military side extended their lead to 3-1 before Đại Nhân completed his hat-trick in the 52nd minute to make it 4-1. Quang Danh added a fifth goal in the 67th minute, while LPBank HAGL could only pull one back through Gia Huy in the 70th minute, eventually suffering a 5-2 defeat in their opening match.

In the other Group A fixture at Ham Rong Stadium, PVF also delivered an impressive performance against SHB Da Nang. Boasting a well-balanced squad featuring several members of Vietnam’s U17 national team, PVF controlled the game from start to finish and found the net through Văn Dương, Sỹ Bách, and Anh Hào to secure a convincing 3-0 victory.

At the end of the opening round of Group A, The Cong Viettel I and PVF both collected three points, putting themselves in a strong position in the race for qualification to the knockout stage of the 2026 National U17 Championship Finals – Cup Rong Do 2026.
