The AFC/VFF ‘C’ Certificate Coaching Course will be held from September 12 to September 24, 2024, in Pleiku City
This morning (September 12), the AFC/VFF ‘C’ Certificate Coaching Course officially opened in Pleiku City. This is the first ‘C’ coaching course under the program coordinated between the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and the Japan Football Association (JFA). The course features two instructors: Mr. Koshida Takeshi, Technical Director of VFF, and Mr. Lê Huỳnh Đức, a member of the National Coaching Council.
The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyễn Công Phương, Head of the Sports Department at the Gia Lai Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism; Mr. Koshida Takeshi, Technical Director of VFF and course instructor; Mr. Lê Huỳnh Đức, member of the National Coaching Council and course instructor; and Mr. Mai Anh Hoàng, Deputy Director of the Grassroots, Coaching Education, and Affiliated MAs Department at VFF.
In his speech at the opening ceremony, Mr. Koshida Takeshi, Technical Director of VFF and course instructor, expressed his sympathy for the damage caused by the storms and floods in the northern provinces and was pleased that some trainees from the North were able to travel to Gia Lai to attend the course. “The ‘C’ course is the starting point for coaches’ careers. Over the next two weeks, Mr. Lê Huỳnh Đức and I will strive to impart knowledge to the coaches. I hope that the trainees will take what they have learned back to their local areas and pass it on to players to help them develop in the best possible way,” Mr. Koshida Takeshi emphasized.
Also speaking at the opening ceremony, instructor Lê Huỳnh Đức shared: “I have experience participating in many coaching courses. Therefore, I am eager to work with Mr. Koshida Takeshi to teach and organize this ‘C’ course for VFF. There are currently many grassroots football centers in Vietnam, and this course will provide the foundational knowledge for coaches. I hope that coaches will make the most of this opportunity and continue their education by pursuing ‘B’, ‘A’, and eventually ‘PRO’ coaching licenses.”
On behalf of the class, trainee Lê Công Vinh expressed gratitude to the Gia Lai Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, VFF, and Hoàng Anh Gia Lai FC for their support in organizing the course. He also extended thanks to instructors Koshida Takeshi and Lê Huỳnh Đức.
On behalf of the hosting unit, Mr. Nguyễn Công Phương, Head of the Sports Department at the Gia Lai Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, expressed gratitude to VFF, the instructors, and the trainees for participating in the course in Gia Lai. He also hoped that the trainees would put forth their utmost effort to complete the course over the next two weeks.
