1st meeting of VFF Grassroots Football Committee in 2021

On the morning of Jun 29, the VFF Grassroots Football Committee had the 1st meeting in 2021 to summary the works in the first 6 months and plan for the next 6 months. To ensure the prevention of the COVID-19 pandemic, the meeting was online.

The delegation included Mr. Le Van Thanh – VFF Vice President; Mr. Pham Ngoc Tuan – Member of VFF Executive Committee, Chairman of VFF Grassroots Football Committee; Mr. Nguyen Hup – Vice Chairman of the Committee; Mr. Tran Dinh Huan – Member of the Committee; Mr. Nguyen Hoang Phuong – Director of FFAV; Mr. Le Hoai Anh – VFF General Secretary; Mrs. Nguyen Thanh Ha – VFF Deputy General Secretary; Mr. Luu Quang Dien Bien – Director of Grassroots, Education and MAs Department.

Since the beginning of 2021, the COVID-19 pandemic affected social activities included football, many grassroots activities could not organise as the plan. However, under the guidance of the VFF Executive Committee, the Grassroots Committee and function departments still prepared for the upcoming events.

In the meeting, Mr. Luu Quang Dien Bien – Director of Grassroots, Education, and MAs Department reported about the works until June 2021 and the mission of the committee in the next 6 months.

In which, the committee is building a Program of Vietnam Grassroots Football in 2021 – 2030 period. This is an important program to create the mechanisms, policies, and directions for the development of Grassroots football in the whole country.

Besides that, VFF is planning to establish a committee to edit a document of Grassroots football for children. This document will provide the exercises and guidance suitable for a child. It will place a big role in the development of football in the future.

On behalf of the grassroots committee, Mr. Pham Ngoc Tuan – Member of VFF Executive Committee, Chairman of VFF Grassroots Football Committee introduced the Program of Football 7-a-side National Championship which is planned to open in 2022. If approved, the organisation of a football 7-a-side system included training and competition for all people will help to improve the source of coaches, referees, and staff of grassroots football in Vietnam.

Based on the reports and programs, the meeting approved the plan for the next 6 months in 2021 of the VFF Grassroots Football Committee, focus on completing the programs and documents, concerning the activities of local football, and joining in the international events after the COVID-19 pandemic.
