2026 National Second Division – Round 11: Fierce battle intensifies for four places in the final round
Matches in Round 11 of the 2026 National Second Division, held on May 21 and 22, continued to deliver plenty of notable developments across both groups, particularly in the race for places in the final round.
In Group A, Trung tâm HL&TĐ TDTT Hà Tĩnh secured an important 2-0 victory over Trẻ Công an Hà Nội in the early match on May 21. The three points lifted the Hà Tĩnh side to fourth place with 13 points, level with PVF but behind on goal difference.
In the May 22 fixtures, the headline clash between Trẻ Hà Nội and Huế ended in a 1-1 draw. The result allowed Trẻ Hà Nội to retain top spot with 18 points from 10 matches and maintain their unbeaten run this season. Huế, on 16 points, remained close behind the leading pack.
Meanwhile, Trẻ Phù Đổng caused a major upset by defeating Trẻ SHB Đà Nẵng 4-1 to claim their first win of the season. The victory lifted their tally to seven points and narrowed the gap to the teams above, while Trẻ SHB Đà Nẵng stayed sixth with nine points.
In Group B, Trường Giang Gia Định and Lâm Đồng shared the points following a goalless draw in the direct clash between the top two sides. The result kept Trường Giang Gia Định at the summit with 20 points from 10 matches, while Lâm Đồng remained second on 19 points, having played one match fewer.
Quảng Ngãi continued their impressive form with a 3-0 home victory over Mê Kông Cần Thơ. The win moved the central side onto 17 points and kept the pressure firmly on the top two in the race for final-round qualification.
At the lower end of the table, Vĩnh Long earned another valuable 2-0 win against Đắk Lắk to move onto eight points and significantly improve their survival hopes. Meanwhile, Mê Kông Cần Thơ remained bottom with five points.
With only narrow gaps separating the leading teams in both groups, the battle in the remaining stages of the season is expected to stay intense and highly competitive.
