National U11 Nestlé Milo Cup 2022: Exciting the opening day of U11 tournament
On the afternoon of July 23, the final phase of the National U11 Nestlé Milo Cup 2022 was officially kick-off at the Khanh Hoa Provincial Gymnasium (33 Phan Chu Trinh Street, Nha Trang City).
The delegation, on the side of the Vietnam Football Federation were the presence of Mr. Le Van Thanh – Vice President, Mr. Le Hoai Anh – General Secretary; On the side of the organizers of the Tien Phong Newspaper, there were the presence of Journalist Nguyen Phan Khue – Member of the Central Council of HYPO, Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspapers, Head of the organizing committee; from the local organizers, there were Mr. Nguyen Tuan Thanh – Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture and Sports; on the sponsor side, there were Mr. Vu Nam Ha – Marketing Manager of Milo brand, Nestlé Vietnam Co., Ltd. and hundreds of spectators who came to cheer for the teams.
The U11 final phase in Nha Trang this year has 16 teams including: Song Lam Nghe An, Hanoi, An Giang, T&T VSH, Viet Hung Thanh Hoa, Hung Yen, Gia Bao Hai Duong, Dak Lak , Hanoi Football Federation, Thai Binh, Blue Sky, Khanh Hoa, Navy Phu Nhuan Saigon, Thang Long FC, Hai An Tay Ninh, Ngoc Hung City. Ho Chi Minh. These are the teams that have excelled in qualifying this year in 3 regions: Nghe An, Daklak, and Kien Giang. The teams are divided into 4 groups of A, B, C, D and will compete in a round-robin to find out the top 2 in each group to compete in the quarterfinals, semi-finals, and championship.
Right after the opening ceremony was a match between two teams in Group A, U11 host Khanh Hoa and U11 Song Lam Nghe An, one of the candidates for the championship. As soon as the whistle blew, U11 Song Lam Nghe An took the initiative to control the game with many sharp attacking. Meanwhile, U11 Khanh Hoa was completely passive, forced to play defensively. In the first half of the match, the game was in one way, belonging to the U11 SLNA players and they had 3 goals scored by players Van Tai, Bao Hoang, and Van Nguyen. In the second half, U11 SLNA continued to dominate and coach Pham Duc Anh’s team had 4 more goals, while the hosts U11 Khanh Hoa only had 1 goal by Duc Kien. Finally, U11 SLNA won with the score 7-1. The opening match was full of difficulties for the hosts U11 Khanh Hoa in the final phase of this year.
Before the opening match, the tournament held matches between the teams in the groups of this final phase, in which in Group C: U11 T&T VSH won 5-1 against U11 Thai Binh, U11 Thang Long won 6-2 before U11 Hanoi; in Group D, Navy Phu Nhuan Sai Gon won 4-2 against Blue Sky, U11 Dak Lak won 3-0 against U11 Hung Yen; Group A, U11 Gia Bao Hai Duong won 8-0 against U11 Ngoc Hung TP. Ho Chi Minh, U11 Song Lam Nghe An won 7-1 against U11 Khanh Hoa; in Group B U11 Hai An Tay Ninh won 6-1 against Ha Giang; U11 Viet Hung Thanh Hoa won 4-1 against U11 Hanoi Football Federation. Tomorrow, July 24, the tournament will continue with group stage matches, the first match will take place at 8 o’clock between Thai Binh and Hanoi.
