Implementing the “Vietnam Football Development Strategy for the period 2021-2030”, the Vietnam Football Federation and the Young Pioneer Newspaper jointly organize the U9 national football tournament Toyota Cup 2024 with the companion of main sponsors – Toyota Motor Vietnam Company. This is the tournament with the youngest age group in the national football competition system.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Phan Khue- Editor-in-Chief of Young Pioneer Newspaper, and Chairman of the Organizing Committee said that the U9 national football tournament Toyota Cup 2024 will contribute to finding young talents for domestic football. The 2024 tournament will have twice the number of participating teams compared to the previous year, which shows the interest of localities and clubs in youth training.

He thanked Toyota Motor Vietnam Company, the sponsor who has accompanied U9 football for 4 consecutive seasons. Thanks to that, young players in football teams across the country can interact, interact, and improve their football expertise.

General Director of Toyota Vietnam Company Nakano Kieta shared: “Last year when I participated in this event for the first time, I still remember the feeling when I saw the passion of all U9 players. In particular, I watched the final match and what touched me the most was the efforts of the players and the enthusiastic support of the fans.”

Mr. Nakano Kieta emphasized that the number of teams increases each year, which shows that the tournament has created a certain prestige and attraction for football clubs, as well as U9 players nationwide. The General Director of Toyota expressed his joy because the tournament has contributed to nurturing and finding talents from an early age.

At the same time, we hope that fans and press agencies will continue to spread beautiful images of the tournament to the community.

Also within the framework of the ceremony, the Organizing Committee, sponsors, and players performed the trophy-lifting ceremony, awarded jerseys, signed autographs, and interacted with the young players. Two players, Doan Van Hau and Nguyen Huu Thuc, interacted and passed on their passion for football to the U9 players participating in the tournament.
