Announcement of sponsors and draw for the schedule of the U17 National Championship – Thai Son Nam Cup 2024
On the afternoon of June 25th, the ceremony to announce the sponsors and draw for the schedule of the final round of the U17 National Championship – Thai Son Nam Cup 2024 took place at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).

The ceremony was attended by Ms. Le Thi Hoang Yen – Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sports Adminstration; Mr. Tran Anh Tu – Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF); Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hoi – Standing Committee Member of the VFF; Mr. Le Van Thanh – Committee Member of the VFF; Mr. Duong Nghiep Khoi – General Secretary of the VFF; Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau – Deputy General Secretary of the VFF; Mr. Tran Anh Minh – Committee Member of the VFF, and CEO of Thai Son Nam Group, alongside the presence of the General Secretary’s Office, functional departments of the VFF, representatives of participating teams, and numerous representatives from press and media agencies.
The U17 National Championship – Thai Son Nam Cup 2024 is a youth football tournament organized annually by the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) as part of the national competition system. Its primary objectives are to provide opportunities for young players to train and improve their skills, develop talent for the future, and align with the international competition system of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA).
Following the success of the 2023 season, this year, Thai Son Nam Group continues to accompany the U17 National Championship 2024 Final as the main sponsor.
In the speech at the ceremony, Mr. Dương Nghiệp Khôi, the General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), stated: “Thai Son Nam Group, a company that has been accompanying the U17 National Championship 2024 Final for 8 consecutive years, from 2011 to 2019. Subsequently, the 2023 season marked the return of Thai Son Nam Group as the main sponsor, and 2024 marks the 10th year of their partnership with the U17 national tournament. VFF hopes that with Thai Son Nam Group’s continued support in this new phase, along with the interest and encouragement from the media and fans, the U17 National Championship 2024 Final will further elevate in terms of professional quality, creating an impressive season with exciting matches.”
Mr. Tran Anh Minh – CEO of Thai Son Nam Group, expressed: “In our role as the sponsor of the U17 National Championship 2024 Final, we aim to accompany Vietnamese youth football and seek to discover more talents for various levels of the national teams. Thai Son Nam Group hopes to continue supporting this tournament for many more years. Youth competitions are extremely beneficial playgrounds. Each year, these tournaments bring young players into the spotlight, who later become pillars of the national team and V.League clubs.”
The U17 National Championship – Cup Thai Son Nam 2024 features 12 participating teams divided into 3 groups as follows: Group A: Ba Ria Vung Tau, PVF (Promotion Fund for Vietnamese Football Talents), Song Lam Nghe An, and Dong Thap; Group B: Hanoi, LPBank HAGL, Ho Chi Minh City (TP.HCM), and Tay Ninh; Group C: Phu Dong, Hong Linh Ha Tinh, The Cong Viettel, and Becamex Binh Duong.
The teams will play a round-robin format within their groups to determine the top 2 teams (1st and 2nd place) from each group, as well as the 2 best 3rd-placed teams, who will advance to the quarterfinals, semifinals, and final. The matches of the Final Round will be held in Ba Ria Vung Tau province from July 5th to July 17th, 2024.
With the support of the Vietnam Cable Television Corporation (VTVCab), it is planned that 8 matches during the Final Round will be broadcast live on television channels and online social media platforms of VTVCab and VFF Channel.
