National U17 Football Championship – Thai Son Nam Cup 2024: Identifying 8 teams advancing to the quarterfinals
On the afternoon of July 16, the final matches of Group B and C in the National U17 Football Championship – Thai Son Nam Cup 2024 took place, thereby determining the 8 teams advancing to the quarterfinals. Unfortunately, Bà Rịa Vũng Tàu (BRVT) was eliminated from the group stage.

In the simultaneous match in Group C between Phù Đổng and Hồng Lĩnh Hà Tĩnh, the young team from Hồng Lĩnh Hà Tĩnh achieved a convincing victory with a score of 4-1. This win came even after they had already secured their spot in the quarterfinals earlier.
In the early match of Group C between Bình Dương and Thể Công Viettel, the young military team emerged victorious with a final score of 3-0. With this win, Thể Công Viettel secured their spot in the quarterfinals alongside Hồng Lĩnh Hà Tĩnh.
In the early match of Group B between TP.HCM and Tây Ninh, Tây Ninh’s youth team secured a dramatic 4-3 victory over TP.HCM with a goal in the 94th minute by Quốc Khánh during stoppage time, breaking a 3-3 deadlock. With this result, Tây Ninh secured their place in the quarterfinals as the third team with the best performance.
Therefore, the 8 teams advancing to the quarterfinals are: PVF, SLNA, Tây Ninh, Hà Nội, LPBank HAGL, Hồng Lĩnh Hà Tĩnh, Thể Công Viettel, and Phù Đổng.
