Opening Ceremony of the National U11 Football Championship Nestlé MILO Cup 2024
On the afternoon of July 28, the Opening Ceremony of the National U11 Football Championship Nestlé MILO Cup 2024 took place at the provincial multi-purpose gymnasium.
The National U11 Football Championship Nestlé MILO Cup 2024 is organized in collaboration by the Teenager Pioneer and Children Newspaper, the Vietnam Football Federation, and the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Bac Ninh Province. This event is not only an engaging and educational playground for children but also a platform for discovering and nurturing the football dreams of young players. It helps them to continually pursue their passion and love for football, dedicating themselves to contributing to the sustainable development of the national football scene.
The opening ceremony was attended by Nguyễn Phan Khuê, a writer and journalist, who is the Editor-in-Chief of the Teenager Pioneer and Children Newspaper and the Head of the Organizing Committee. Also present were Đinh Thị Thu Trang, Deputy Secretary-General of the Vietnam Football Federation and Co-Head of the Organizing Committee, and Nguyễn Văn Ảnh, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Bac Ninh Province, who is the Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee for the final round of the tournament. Additionally, representatives from various departments and agencies in Bac Ninh were present.
The tournament features the top 16 U11 teams from across the country, including: Bac Giang, Gia Bao Hai Duong, Hanoi, Lang Son, Hanoi Police, Thai Nguyen, Viet Hung Thanh Hoa, Hung Yen, Song Lam Nghe An, Quang Nam, Binh Duong, P.I.P Ngoc Hung, Navy Phu Nhuan TP. Ho Chi Minh City, Nam Viet, Dong Nai, and the host team, Bac Ninh.
The teams are divided into 4 groups, competing in a round-robin format to determine their rankings. The top 2 teams from each group will advance to the quarterfinals. The host team, Bac Ninh, is in Group A along with P.I.P Ngoc Hung, Dong Nai, and Song Lam Nghe An. The matches will be held at the provincial multi-purpose gymnasium from July 28 to August 7.
Immediately following the opening ceremony, an exciting match took place between the host team Bac Ninh and Song Lam Nghe An. Despite their efforts and determination, the host team Bac Ninh ultimately lost to Song Lam Nghe An with a final score of 2-3.
