The Vietnamese women’s futsal team maintains its position in the top 11 in the FIFA rankings
According to the newly announced FIFA futsal world rankings, the Vietnamese women’s futsal team continues to hold the 11th position globally and is ranked 5th in Asia.

Since its first publication in May 2024, the FIFA women’s futsal world rankings have expanded significantly, with the number of ranked nations increasing from 69 to 91. This reflects the comprehensive development of women’s futsal worldwide, along with a record 286 official international matches played in 2025.
On this ranking, the Vietnam women’s futsal team continues to maintain its position at 11th in the world—an stable ranking since the previous update—due to no international matches being counted for points between the two rankings.
This achievement comes amid the active preparations of the Vietnamese women’s futsal team for international tournaments, including regional competitions, training trips, and friendly matches aimed at improving skills and gaining valuable experience for bigger challenges at regional and continental levels.
Currently, the team is competing at SEA Games 33 and has successfully qualified for the semifinals after winning two matches against Indonesia and Myanmar in the group stage.
