At 7:00 PM tonight (February 27), Coach Mai Đức Chung’s team officially departs from Noi Bai Airport (Hanoi), beginning their journey to participate in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 Final Round in Australia.

According to the plan, the Vietnam women’s national team will fly from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, then connect from Ho Chi Minh City to Perth (Australia) on a flight departing at 00:55. The team is expected to arrive in Perth at 08:50 (local time).

Prior to this, the team gathered from January 15 to prepare for this important tournament. During the training camp, from February 7 to February 14, the Vietnam women’s team conducted a training stint in China with two quality friendly matches against the Chinese women’s team. This allowed them to review the squad, test the lineup, and enhance team cohesion in their gameplay.

With more than a month of focused training and thorough preparation in terms of professionalism, fitness, and tactics, the entire team is ready to step into their first major tournament of 2026 with the highest determination.

Arriving early in Australia will give Coach Mai Đức Chung’s team extra time to adapt to the weather conditions and playing fields, as well as to complete the final preparations before officially competing on the continental stage.
