Opening Ceremony of the 2026 National U15 Football Championship – Modern Cup
On the afternoon of April 2nd, the opening ceremony and the first matches of Group A in the 2026 National U15 Football Championship – Modern Cup took place at the Thanh Long Sports Center (Ho Chi Minh City).
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Tran Anh Tú – Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF); Mrs. Dinh Thi Thu Trang – VFF Deputy General Secretary and Chairman of the Tournament Organizing Committee; Mr. Pham Anh Dung – Member of the VFF Referee Committee; and Mr. Tran Dinh Huan – General Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation.
Representing the sponsors were Mr. Phan Ngoc Dung – representative of Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company, and Mr. Huynh Bao Minh – representative of Dong Luc Joint Stock Company, the official ball sponsor of the tournament, alongside team members, technical officials, and fans.
On behalf of the VFF and the Tournament Organizing Committee, Mrs. Dinh Thi Thu Trang – VFF Deputy General Secretary – expressed her gratitude to local authorities for creating favorable conditions for the tournament to proceed as scheduled. She also thanked the Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation and the Thanh Long Sports Center for their cooperation in hosting the finals, as well as the VFF’s sponsors and partners. A special thanks was extended to Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company – the tournament’s main sponsor – for their constant support of Vietnamese youth football.
Representing the sponsors, Mr. Phan Ngoc Dung – representative of Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company – stated: ‘Through this sponsorship, Acecook Vietnam aims to join hands with the VFF to build a healthy competitive environment, helping young players develop comprehensively in both skill and spirit. We believe the teams will give their all and deliver exciting matches to the fans.
This year’s tournament features the 12 best teams from across the country, all of whom cleared the qualifying rounds to compete in this premier playground for the U15 age group. Matches will take place from April 1st to April 14th at the Thanh Long Sports Center (HCMC), promising fierce competition right from the group stage.
To bring the tournament’s images closer to fans nationwide, the VFF has collaborated with the Vietnam Cable Television Corporation (VTVCab) to produce and broadcast the 2026 National U15 Football Championship – Modern Cup. Matches will be aired on VTVCab channels and the VFF’s official social media platforms.
