On the afternoon of August 26, the announcement of the main sponsor and the draw for the match schedule of the U15 National Championship – ACECOOK Cup 2024 took place at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).
Attending the ceremony were representatives from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), including: Mr. Đỗ Văn Nhật – Member of the VFF Executive Committee and Head of the Women’s Football Department; Mr. Nguyễn Minh Châu – Deputy General Secretary; Mrs. Nguyễn Thanh Hà – Deputy General Secretary; Mrs. Đinh Thị Thu Trang – Deputy General Secretary; Mr. Nguyễn Tùng Điển – Editor-in-Chief of Football Magazine
From the sponsor ACECOOK, Mr. Kajiwara Shinsuke – Deputy Director of Marketing at ACECOOK Vietnam Co., Ltd. was present.
Building on the success of the 2023 season, ACECOOK Vietnam continues as the main sponsor for the final round of the U15 National Championship – ACECOOK Cup 2024. ACECOOK Vietnam has consistently supported the development of Vietnamese football, being a main sponsor for the Vietnamese national teams, sponsoring the U13 Vietnam-Japan International Youth Football Tournament, and supporting the Vietnam Youth and Student Football Tournament in 2023 and 2024.
Mr. Nguyễn Minh Châu, Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), stated: “The event of ACECOOK Vietnam becoming the main sponsor for the U15 National Championship contributes to our collective efforts with the VFF to realize a comprehensive and sustainable football development strategy. It also helps to strongly promote the values of trust and the sense of responsibility of the community towards the goal of elevating Vietnamese football.”
Mr. Kajiwara Shinsuke, Deputy Director of Marketing at ACECOOK Vietnam Co., Ltd., affirmed: “Recognizing the importance of nurturing young talent, ACECOOK Vietnam has made supporting the development of young players one of our long-term goals. We have plans for comprehensive collaboration with the Vietnam Football Federation, including becoming the main sponsor for the U15 National Championship.”
After the qualifying rounds, the final round of the U15 National Championship will feature the top 12 teams. The teams are divided into 3 groups (each with 4 teams). The top two teams from each group, along with the two best third-placed teams, will advance to the quarterfinals, followed by the semifinals and final. According to the draw, Group A consists of: PVF, Hanoi Sports Training and Competition Center, SHB Da Nang, and Dong Nai. Group B includes: Ho Chi Minh City FC, Ba Ria Vung Tau, The Cong Viettel, and Quang Ngai. Meanwhile, Group C features: LPBank HAGL, Song Lam Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, and Long An.
Looking at the three groups, Group C stands out as particularly intriguing. The two teams that finished as runners-up and third place last year, SLNA and LPBank HAGL, will face off against Thanh Hoa and Long An. In this year’s qualifiers, both LPBank HAGL and SLNA topped their groups, while Long An secured the second spot with the third-best overall record. Therefore, Thanh Hoa will face a challenging task to secure a spot in the quarterfinals.
The tournament will take place from August 31, 2024, to September 12, 2024, at PVF Hung Yen Stadium.
