Dau Quang Hung struck the winner in the 77th minute as Vietnam boosted their knockout stage hopes while Yemen were left to ponder why they were left empty handed after having had their fair share of chances.

Viet Tri: Yemen came out on top in a five-goal thriller against Kyrgyz Republic on Friday to put themselves on the cusp of advancing to the AFC U17 Asian Cup™ Saudi Arabia 2025 Finals. Vietnam revived their hopes after defeating Myanmar 2-0 in the other fixture.
Qualifiers – Group I: Yemen 6-1 Myanmar; Vietnam 0-0 Kyrgyz Republic
Viet Tri: Yemen made a strong start to their AFC U17 Asian Cup™ Saudi Arabia 2025 Qualifiers Group I campaign after defeating Myanmar 6-1 on Wednesday. In the second match, Vietnam and Kyrgyz Republic played to a goalless stalemate.

The stage is set for a thrilling AFC U17 Asian Cup™ Thailand 2023 following the official draw on Thursday. The 16 teams were divided into four groups for the June 15-July 2 tournament, which will see the top four sides seal their places in the FIFA U-17 World Cup Peru 2023 in November.

Viet Tri City: Vietnam defeated Thailand 3-0 to finish as Group F winners of the AFC U17 Asian Cup™ 2023 Qualifiers on Sunday. Vietnam completed their campaign with a perfect record of nine points at the Viet tri Stadium while Thailand will have to wait to know if they will advance as one of the best six runners-up. Chinese Taipei, meanwhile, ended their campaign with a 4-2 win over Nepal.
