U16 Vietnam returns home, aiming for the 2025 AFC U17 Asian Cup qualifiers

Following the conclusion of the 2024 ASEAN U16 Championship, U16 Vietnam returned home on the morning of July 4th. The team will regroup in early August to participate in the International Tournament in China and undergo training in Japan in preparation for the 2025 AFC U17 Asian Cup Qualifiers.

VFF’s leaders met and encouraged the U16 Vietnam team

This afternoon (June 18), Tran Quoc Tuan, President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), met and encouraged the members of the Vietnam U16 national team before their departure to participate in the AFF U16 Championship 2024. Also present at the meeting were VFF Executive Committee member and Head of the Vietnam U16 delegation Tran Van Quynh, as well as General Secretary Duong Nghiep Khoi.

Friendly match at Hamamatsu, U17 Vietnam team beat U18 Honda FC 3-1

On the afternoon of May 28, the U17 Vietnam team had the second friendly match during the training session in Hamamatsu, Japan. The U18 Honda FC was rated higher than the opponent in the first friendly match, so coach Hoang Anh Tuan’s team continued to show progress with coherent play, good ball control and won 3-1.

At 22:30 on the evening of May 21, Vietnam time, U17 Vietnam had a friendly match with U17 Qatar during training camp in Doha and won with a score of 2-0.

U17 Vietnam drew 0-0 with U17 Laos in the first friendly match in Qatar

At 10 pm on 19 May (Vietnam time), the U17 Vietnam had a friendly match with the U17 Laos during a training session in Qatar to prepare for the 2023 AFC U17 Asian Cup.
