Drawing with Chinese Taipei, the Vietnamese Women’s Futsal team won the right to participate in the 2025 Asian Women’s Futsal Championship
With a 2-2 draw with the Chinese Taipei Women’s Futsal team, the Vietnam Women’s Futsal team officially won first place in Group D, thereby earning the right to participate in the 2025 Asian Women’s Futsal Championship.
In the final match of Group D, Coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang’s players entered the match with focus and quickly put pressure on the opponent. In the 3rd minute, Phuong Anh unexpectedly fired a powerful shot but the ball unfortunately hit the post.
In the 11th minute, Chinese Taipei players launched an attack and unexpectedly scored the opening goal, 1-0. Immediately after conceding the goal, the red-shirt players launched a counterattack and all efforts were rewarded with a goal to level the score at 1-1 after a beautiful combination.
The chase continued when in the 17th minute, Chinese Taipei players scored a goal to take the lead 2-1 but the final match result was set at 2-2 with Bien Thi Hang’s equalizer. Thus, with this result, although both have 7 points, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang and his team are the top team in Group D due to the advantage of the secondary index, thereby winning the right to participate in the final round of the 2025 Asian Women’s Futsal Championship to take place in China next May.
