Excitedly opening the 2023 National U16 Women’s Football Championship
On the afternoon of February 17, the opening ceremony of the 2023 National U16 Women’s Football Championship took place at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center (VFF).
Attending the opening ceremony, from the VFF side, there were Mr. Tran Anh Tu – Vice President; Mr. Do Van Nhat – Member of Executive Committee, Chairman of VFF Women’s Football Committee; Mr. Tran Van Quynh – Member of the VFF Executive Committee; Mr. Tran Anh Minh – Member of the VFF Executive Committee; Mr. Duong Nghiep Khoi – General Secretary; Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha – Deputy General Secretary, Chairperson of the Organizing Committee of the tournament; Mr. Truong Hai Tung – Director of Vietnam Youth Football Training Center, Deputy Chairman of the Tournament Organizing Committee; Mr. Pham Hai Anh – Member of the VFF Women’s Football Committee…
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha – VFF Deputy General Secretary, Chairperson of the Organizing Committee of the tournament emphasized: “Over the past 7 seasons, the national U16 Women’s Football Championship has gradually affirmed the important role in the National Youth Women’s Football competition system, improves professionalism and dedication, is a playground for young players to have the opportunity to practice and gain experience. This season, with the careful preparation of the teams for specific goals, the 2023 Women’s National U16 Championship promises to be exciting, with dedicated matches and professional quality, creating an attractive competition with the spirit of fair-play”.

This year, the tournament has the participation of 4 teams: Phong Phu Ha Nam, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Thai Nguyen T&T. Teams will compete in a round-robin of 2 rounds (first and second legs) to gather points and rank the whole tournament.
In particular, in this season, along with the champion cup, the reward for the best team in the tournament will increase to VND 100 million, in addition to other prizes for the second and third teams and other personal rewards.
In addition, to encourage the competitive spirit of female players, Café de Mang Den brand rewards VND 1,000,000 for the each best player and the player who scores the first goal at each match; VND 50,000,000 for the Champion team; VND 30,000,000 for the second place team; VND 20,000,000 for the 3rd place team and VND 10,000,000 for the fair-play team.
