Throughout their journey, U9 Tuyên Quang proved to be a very challenging competitor and was considered a dark horse of the tournament.
However, facing the power of U9 Gia Bảo Hải Dương, the young team from Tuyên Quang conceded with a score of 1-7. This was also the match with the largest margin in the quarterfinals.
In the second quarterfinal match, U9 Việt Hùng Thanh Hóa was slightly favored over U9 Ho Chi Minh City, and they are the defending runners-up of the tournament. However, the young players from Saigon had an outstanding game and defeated Thanh Hoa’s team with a single goal.
One of the highly rated teams for the championship, U9 Sông Lam Nghệ An, also secured their place in the final four. In the fourth quarterfinal match, U9 CLB BĐ Hà Nội continued their quest to defend their title by defeating their city rivals, U9 H.Y.S Hà Nội, in a high-scoring encounter. The dramatic 3-2 win allowed U9 Hà Nội to advance to the semifinals.
In the semifinals scheduled for the afternoon of August 23, U9 Gia Bảo Hải Dương will face U9 Ho Chi Minh City at 4 PM. An hour later, U9 Sông Lam Nghệ An will compete against U9 CLB Bóng Đá Hà Nội.
