On the afternoon of September 27, at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center, the opening ceremony and the first matches of the 2022 Women’s U16 National Football Championship took place.

The delegation included Mrs. Nguyen Thanh Ha – Deputy General Secretary, Chairperson of the Organizing Committee; Mr. Do Van Nhat – Deputy Chairman of Women’s Football Committee; Mr. Truong Hai Tung – Director of Vietnam Youth Football Training Centre. The opening ceremony of the 2022 Women’s U16 National Football Championship was also attended by two U16 women’s teams Son La and Hanoi women’s U16, spectators and press.
Speaking in the ceremony, Mrs. Nguyen Thanh Ha – VFF Deputy General Secretary, Chairperson of the Organizing Committee emphasized: “Over the past 6 seasons, the Women’s U16 National Football Championship has gradually affirmed the importance, in the national youth women’s football competition system, to improve professionalism and dedication; is a playground for female players to have the opportunity to practice and gain experience. This season, with the thoughtful preparation of the teams for specific goals, the 2022 Women’s U16 National Football Championship promises to be exciting, with dedicated matches and professional quality, creating an attractive competition with the spirit of fair-play. On behalf of VFF and the organizers of the tournament, we would like to thank the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center for the cooperation in the preparation and organization of the tournament. Sincere thanks to the active participation of the teams, assessors, referees, the press agencies and the spectators.”
After the opening ceremony was the opening match between the two teams U16 Son La and U16 Hanoi. Previously, U16 Phong Phu Ha Nam won 4-0 against U16 Ho Chi Minh City in the match taking place at 15:00, thereby excellently winning the first 3 points.
