National Football Championship Division 3

Quảng Ninh Club and Gia Định Club shared the First Prize in the 2024 National Championship Third Division

On the afternoon of November 11, the final round of matches took place in both Group A and Group B of the 2024 National Championship Third Division. The two teams that shared the First Prize were determined, along with the five spots for promotion to the 2025 National Second Division.

Before this round of matches, four out of the five promotion spots had already been secured: Quảng Ninh FC and Hoài Đức FC in Group A, and Gia Định and Tây Ninh in Group B. The remaining promotion spot would go to the third-place team with the best performance across both groups (either CAHN Youth, PVF-CAND Youth, or TP.HCM Youth).

Gia Định, having topped Group B, had already secured one of the two First Prize spots. The other team sharing the First Prize would be determined after the match between the direct competitors, Quảng Ninh and Hoài Đức, in Group A.

As expected by fans, the clash between Quảng Ninh FC and Hoài Đức FC turned out to be thrilling, with both teams playing an exciting, attacking style of football. Hoài Đức FC, needing a win to overtake their opponents, played with great effort and created several dangerous moments in front of Quảng Ninh’s goal. However, the experience of key players, including captain Bùi Văn Hiếu, helped Quảng Ninh maintain a solid defense, keeping their goal intact until the final whistle. A draw was enough for Quảng Ninh FC to finish at the top of Group A, earning them the First Prize alongside Gia Định, who finished as group leaders in Group B.

In the competition for the final promotion spot, awarded to the third-place team with the best performance across both groups, PVF-CAND Youth FC dashed the hopes of TP.HCM Youth by winning 1-0 against CAHN Youth. With this victory, PVF-CAND Youth secured their place in the list of the five teams promoted, which includes: Quảng Ninh FC (1st in Group A), Hoài Đức FC (2nd in Group A), Gia Định FC (1st in Group B), Tây Ninh FC (2nd in Group B), and PVF-CAND Youth FC (the third-place team with the best performance).
