The U16 National Women’s Football Championship 2024 will kick off on June 27th
The U16 National Women’s Football Championship 2024 will officially commence on June 27th at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center. To finalize preparations for the tournament, this morning (June 26th), the Organizing Committee held a technical meeting attended by representatives from participating teams, match commissioners, referees, and tournament officials.

attended by Ms. Nguyễn Thanh Hà – Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and head of the tournament organizing committee, along with representatives from the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center – the hosting organization, and several functional departments of the VFF, as well as match commissioners, referees, and representatives from the 5 participating teams.
On behalf of the tournament organizing committee, Mrs. Nguyễn Thanh Hà – Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), welcomed the match commissioners, referees, and the participating teams who gathered in Hanoi to prepare for the tournament. She emphasized, “VFF always appreciates and values the efforts of localities in maintaining and developing teams participating in competitions, especially at the youth level. The U16 National Women’s Football Championship 2024 is an important tournament, providing a platform for young players to train, accumulate experience, and also an opportunity for national team coaches to scout talent and nurture them for regional and continental competitions.”
At the meeting, the representative from the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center affirmed that all necessary infrastructure for the tournament has been meticulously prepared and is ready to welcome the participating teams for the competition.
This year, the tournament features the participation of 5 teams: Phong Phú Hà Nam, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Thái Nguyên T&T, and Than Khoáng Sản Việt Nam. The teams will compete in a round-robin format with each team playing each other twice to determine the standings. The opening match between Phong Phú Hà Nam and Than Khoáng Sản Việt Nam will kick off at 4:00 PM on June 27. Meanwhile, the U16 Hanoi girls will face off against U16 Thái Nguyên T&T on the same day.
The opening match will be broadcast live on the official YouTube and Fanpage channels of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).
