This afternoon (September 14), in Ba Ria – Ho Chi Minh City, the final round of the National U17 Championship – Thai Son Nam Cup 2025 will officially kick off with the first matches.

This year’s tournament final round gathers 12 outstanding teams that have advanced from the qualifiers, along with the host club, Ho Chi Minh City Football Club. The event takes place from September 14 to September 26. The teams are divided into 3 groups, competing in a single round-robin format to select the top 8 teams for the quarterfinals. This competition is an important platform for discovering, nurturing, and developing young talents, reflecting the efforts and investments of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), local authorities, and clubs in youth football training.
On the opening day, fans will witness exciting matches: at Tân Hưng Stadium, U17 An Giang will face U17 Ho Chi Minh City, followed by a match between U17 Sông Lam Nghệ An and U17 Becamex Bình Dương. At Long Tâm Stadium, U17 PVF-CAND will compete against U17 Thể Công Viettel, ending with the marquee match between U17 LPBank HAGL and U17 Hà Nội.
Building on the success of previous seasons, 2025 marks the third consecutive year that Thai Son Nam Group Joint Stock Company has been the main sponsor of the tournament. Prior to this, Thái Sơn Nam sponsored the competition for 8 consecutive years (2011–2018), reaffirming their long-term commitment to the development of Vietnamese youth football.
