Wasting the opportunity, U23 Vietnam shared points with U23 Philippines
In the second round of Group A Men’s football at the 31st SEA Games, which took place this afternoon of May 8, U23 Vietnam had to split points with Philippines U23 when it was unable to score the ball into the opponent’s net.
With home-ground advantage, enthusiastic cheers from the spectator and determination to beat the Philippines, U23 Vietnam entered the game excitedly. The home team continuously created dangerous passes towards the opponent’s goal. However, the Philippine defense made it difficult for Tien Linh and his teammates despite holding the ball more and making more efforts to finish.
The most remarkable phase of the first half belonged to Cong Den in the 14th minute. After the release of the ball by Phan Tuan Tai, Cong Den finished very quickly, but the ball still did not go into the net of the Philippines. The first 45 minutes ended with a 0-0 result.

They have the same score as Vietnam but are ahead by goal difference.
