Feb 15 kick-off the U19 Men’s National Championship 2022

From February 15, the first leg of the 2022 National Men’s U19 Football Championship Qualifier will officially start with matches in Groups A, C, E, F. This morning (February 14), the organizers held a match coordination meeting for Group C matches at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center (VFF).

Representatives of VFF leaders attending the meeting were Mr. Le Hoai Anh – General Secretary, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Mr. Tran Huy Duc – Head of Competition Organization Department, representatives of VFF functional departments and representatives of the Vietnam youth football training Centre – the host of Group C. The Group C match coordination meeting also attended by representatives of the teams, commissioners and referees assigned to do their duties.

Speaking at the opening of the meeting, on behalf of the Organizing Committee, Mr. Le Hoai Anh – General Secretary of VFF, Chairman of the Organizing Committee welcomed the presence of the teams preparing for the new season. “Facing the complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic in Hanoi, the Organizing Committee highly appreciates the efforts of localities and clubs in trying to create conditions for their teams to participate in the U19 Men’s National Championship 2022. In order to ensure the safety of epidemic prevention for the tournament members as well as the success of the tournament, the Organizing Committee recommends that the teams continue to comply with 5K measures and other regulations of the Ministry of Health. Wish the teams have a successful season with the best results”, said General Secretary Le Hoai Anh.

In the role of moderator of the meeting, Mr. Tran Huy Duc – Head of the Organizing Committee of the tournament continued to emphasize the remarkable points in health work, epidemic prevention as well as disseminate a number of issues related to the organization’s work, use the training ground of the teams. “The Organizing Committee will continuously update the situation of the teams and will take specific measures and timely plans before each development with the goal of organizing a safe, effective and successful tournament,” Mr. Tran Huy Duc emphasized.

The 2022 National Men’s U19 Football Championship Qualifier has 31 participating teams; is divided into 6 groups (5 groups of 5 teams and 1 group of 6 teams), playing two rounds to calculate ranking points in each group. According to the announcement of amending and supplementing the tournament’s regulations, the first leg of group A, C, E and F matches will take place from February 15 to February 25 at locations in Hanoi, Hung Yen and Ho Chi Minh City. and Binh Phuoc; in which Group C is hosted by the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center. Groups B and D will take place from February 23 to March 1. The second leg will begin on February 28 and end on March 10. The six first-placed teams, five second-placed teams with the best results in six groups and the home team (final round – unspecified) will advance to the Final Round, scheduled to take place from March 15 to March 31.
