The 2009 AFC Champions League winners have been in scintillating form on the continental stage this season, confirming the Group J top spot with two matches to spare.
Denied the title by Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal SFC in 2021, Pohang look well equipped to go all the way this season.
Having defeated Hanoi 4-2 when the two sides met on Matchday One, Pohang will feel a fifth consecutive win is on the cards.
Hanoi belatedly got points on the board after edging China PR’s Wuhan Three Towns on Matchday Four.
The win means they still have an outside chance of advancing as one of the three best runners-up from the East Zone and that will drive the Vietnamese side against Pohang.
