On the afternoon of September 7, the 2025 National U20 Futsal Championship officially kicked off at the Chánh Hưng Ward Futsal Club Arena (Ho Chi Minh City).

This year’s tournament brings together 10 teams—two more than last season—including An Phú, Khánh Hạnh Tây Ninh, Nha Trang, Sahako, Saigon Eminence, Saigon Titans, Tân Hiệp Hưng HCMC, Thái Sơn Bắc, Thái Sơn Nam HCMC, and Xạ Warriors. The teams are divided into two groups, playing in a single round-robin format to determine the standings. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals, from which the finalists and the third-place contenders will be decided. The competition runs from September 7 to September 19, 2025.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyễn Minh Châu – Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and Head of the Organizing Committee – emphasized: “The National U20 Futsal Championship is an important platform for clubs to invest more in youth development, while also creating opportunities for young futsal talents to prove themselves, work towards becoming professional players, serve as a pipeline for the national futsal team, and contribute to the overall growth of Vietnamese futsal.”

Following the ceremony, the matches kicked off in an exciting atmosphere, featuring plenty of spectacular goals and promising a thrilling and emotional season ahead.

In Group A, U20 Thái Sơn Nam HCMC secured their first three points with a 4-2 victory over U20 Sahako. The most impressive performance came from U20 Saigon Titans, who delivered a stunning display to defeat U20 Xạ Warriors 6-2.
