Thai Nguyen T&T meets Than KSVN in the final of the 2024 National Women’s Football Cup
Than KSVN and Thai Nguyen T&T are the two teams that have secured a spot in the final of the 2024 National Women’s Football Cup.

The first semifinal of the tournament was a showdown between Phong Phú Hà Nam and Thai Nguyen T&T. Having won all their matches in the “group of death,” Phong Phú Hà Nam entered the game with confidence and played an attacking style to seek an advantage. However, they were quickly dealt a blow. In the 8th minute, Trần Thị Nhung made a smart pass to Bích Thùy, who broke through and scored in a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper of Phong Phú Hà Nam.
Refusing to accept defeat, Phong Phú Hà Nam fought back strongly. However, Coach Khánh Thu’s team conceded another goal due to a defensive lapse. In the 24th minute, Bích Thùy took a powerful shot that forced goalkeeper Trần Thị Trang into a tough save, but Minh Chuyên was quick to follow up and tap in the rebound from close range, doubling the lead for the representative of the tea region.
In the second half, Phong Phú Hà Nam played much better than in the first 45 minutes. However, the strikers from the northern team missed several chances. Hoàng Vân, Thanh Hiếu, and Tuyết Dung must have only blamed themselves, as they came very close to scoring. In the end, Thai Nguyen T&T defeated their opponents 2-0 and advanced to the final.
In the other semifinal match, Than Khoáng Sản Việt Nam (Than KSVN) faced TP.HCM. In the 4th minute, receiving a long pass from Lê Thị Bảo Trâm, Trúc Hương broke through and made a precise shot to open the scoring for the mining team.
However, Than KSVN’s lead did not last long. In a scrappy situation in front of the goal, Nguyễn Thị Tuyết Ngân controlled the ball and made an accurate finish to equalize 1-1 for TP.HCM.
In the second half, Than KSVN put significant pressure on TP.HCM’s defense. However, Quách Thu Em played exceptionally well, helping her team maintain the draw. On the other hand, Tuyết Ngân had several notable attempts on goal, but TP.HCM could not find the back of the net. The match ended 1-1 after regulation time, and the two teams proceeded to a penalty shootout. Than KSVN excelled, winning 3-2, and secured a spot in the final against Thai Nguyen T&T.
