The Prime Minister joins in the celebration, congratulating the victory of the Vietnam national team

Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính and Deputy Prime Minister Nguyễn Hoà Bình went down to the field to encourage, congratulate, and celebrate with the Vietnam national team.

On the evening of January 2, the Vietnam national team defeated Thailand 2-1 in the first leg of the ASEAN Championship – AMEC Cup 2024, thanks to a brace from Nguyễn Xuân Son. This was a well-deserved victory for the “Golden Stars” as the team played with a solid and strategic game plan.

Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính watched and cheered for the Vietnam team throughout the more than 90 minutes of play at the Việt Trì Stadium (Phú Thọ).

Immediately after the referee blew the final whistle, Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính and Deputy Prime Minister Nguyễn Hoà Bình went down to the field to encourage, congratulate, and celebrate with the Vietnam national team.

The victory of the Vietnam national team not only provides a psychological boost for Coach Kim Sang Sik and his players before traveling to Thailand for the return leg of the final, but also marks a strong start for Vietnamese football in the new year of 2025.
