U17 National Championship – K.ELEC 2022: PVF lifts to the championship
This afternoon (September 11), the final match between U17 Saigon and U17 PVF closed the U17 National Championship – K.Elec 2022. Winning the final 2-0, U17 PVF were crowned champions. Attending the final match and award ceremony were Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation Cao Van Chong.

Playing in the final was a big surprise for U17 Saigon, because they reached the final round thanks to the last ticket. However, U17 Saigon had a great semi-final against U17 Hanoi and won with a score of 3-2, thereby participating in the final against another very strong opponent, U17 PVF. Meanwhile, U17 PVF struggled when drawing U17 SLNA with a score of 1-1 in the semi-finals and only reached the final after the penalty shootout.
However, in the final, U17 PVF showed superiority from the first minutes when continuously pressing the field of U17 Saigon and got a goal in the 11th minute, from Hoang Chien’s header. In contrast, U17 Saigon, although could not control the game, they still had quite dangerous counter-attacks and no less than 2 times made PVF’s defense heart flutter, unfortunately could not be a goal during the time of the first half.

U17 PVF continued to be the ones who controlled the game and created dangerous attacks from the beginning of the second half, and their defense was also very solid, so they neutralized most of the opponent’s counter-attacks. In the 59th minute, from Le Phat’s pass, the ball was passed to Ba Dat and he had a shot to make a score of 2-0 for U17 PVF.
With 2 goals, the PVF youth players became more and more excited. Meanwhile, U17 Saigon made great efforts to find a goal down, but the psychological pressure made the young players of this team almost stuck in finding their way into the net of goalkeeper Thanh Long. Losing the final 0-2, U17 Saigon had to see the opponent U17 PVF take the championship.
