The delegation included: Mr. Tran Anh Tu – VFF Standing Executive Committee, Chairman of Futsal Committee; Mr. Le Hoai Anh – VFF General Secretary; Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau – VFF Deputy GS; representative of Thanh Nien Media Joint Stock Company – the coordinating organization; representative of Thanh Nien Newspaper; participants and media.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Hoai Anh – VFF General Secretary stated: “In recent years, the system of youth and women’s football tournaments has been maintained by VFF, gradually improved and achieved remarkable achievement. Match organization is becoming more and more professionalized to meet the requirements of the new development phase of Vietnamese football, thereby improving the quality of non-professional tournaments. VFF will continue to make efforts to further improve the professional quality of the tournament and believe that youth, futsal, and women’s soccer tournaments will increasingly attract the attention of the audience, demonstrating their role in the competition. evaluating the development of football movement and football in Vietnam”.

Mr. Le Hoai Anh added: “The tournament will be an environment for young players to accumulate experience, thereby making a positive contribution to the preparation of the national teams for the international tournaments. In particular, this year the futsal women’s national championship is organized to prepare forces for the national women’s futsal team to attend the SEA Games 31 in Vietnam.

In 2022, the U19 National Championship recorded 31 teams registering for the qualifying round, this is the highest number ever. The tournament is divided into 6 groups, with 4 groups held in the North and 2 groups held in the South. This year, the tournament will also expand the age limit from 15 to 19 instead of 16 to 19 like every year.

The U19 National Championship 2022 Qualifiers will take place in a round-robin format with 2 rounds, the top 6 teams and the best 5 group runners-up will win tickets to the final round. Because Group F has 6 teams, the runner-up in this group will not be counted in the matches against the bottom-ranked team so that the number of matches between the second-placed teams is equal. The qualifier will start from February 15 to March 10, and the final round will take place from March 15 to March 31, 2022.

Meanwhile, the first national women’s futsal tournament was held to create a premise for the Vietnamese women’s futsal team to head to the SEA Games 31 with 4 participating teams from 2 localities including Phong Phu Ha Nam I, Phong Phu. Ha Nam II, Ho Chi Minh City, District 1, and Thai Son Nam. The tournament will take place in a round-robin format with 2 rounds from February 19 to March 1, 2022.

A new feature in the 2022 season is that the regulations related to the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic have become part of the tournament’s charter, instead of being issued only through the announcements of the tournament organizers as in the past period. This has shown the initiative of VFF in sticking to the goal of safe, flexible adaptation and effective control of the COVID-19 epidemic in the new situation, in accordance with the spirit of Resolution 128/NQ-CP of the Government.
