Attending the ceremony were Ms. Lê Thị Hoàng Yến – Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sports Administration; Mr. Trần Anh Tú – Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF); Mr. Nguyễn Quốc Hội – Standing Member of the VFF Executive Committee; and Mr. Nguyễn Văn Phú – VFF General Secretary, along with representatives from the VFF General Secretariat and functional departments. The event also welcomed representatives from several clubs, as well as members of the press and media agencies in Hanoi.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Phú – General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation – emphasized: “The National U17 Championship plays a particularly important role in Vietnam’s youth football development system. It provides players aged 16–17 with valuable match experience, while also giving clubs and youth academies the opportunity to evaluate their training programs, discover, and nurture outstanding talents for the nation’s football. It is also a key platform to identify young talents for the U17 national team ahead of the AFC U17 Asian Cup Qualifiers this November in Hanoi. Furthermore, this year’s National U17 Finals will serve as a foundation for preparations for the youth football competition system in 2026.”

For his part, Mr. Trần Anh Minh – General Director of Thai Son Nam Group JSC – affirmed: “VFF’s youth-level tournaments are an extremely valuable platform for young players. Playing in official competitions gives them the chance to gain match experience, improve their technical and tactical skills, and develop the mental strength needed for competition. The National U17 Championship is especially important for young players, as this is a pivotal age for their growth and progression towards competing at the highest professional level of Vietnamese football. We are truly honored to be the main sponsor of the 2025 National U17 Championship Finals, with the desire to contribute to football, particularly youth football. We hope the National U17 Finals will serve as a strong springboard, helping to nurture and develop future Vietnamese national teams.”

Building on the success of previous seasons, the decision of Thai Son Nam Group JSC to continue accompanying the 2025 National U17 Championship Finals as the Main Sponsor is another piece of good news for Vietnamese football. This also marks the third consecutive year that Thai Son Nam has taken on the role of Main Sponsor. Earlier, the company had persistently supported the tournament for eight consecutive years, from 2011 to 2018, making a significant contribution to the growth of youth football competitions in the country.

After the signing ceremony to announce the tournament’s Main Sponsor, the Organizing Committee conducted the draw for the final round. Accordingly, following the qualifying stage, the 2025 National U17 Championship Finals – Thai Son Nam Cup confirmed 12 participating teams, divided into three groups.
