VFF’s leaders visited and encouraged Xuan Son right after the AMEC 2024 award ceremony
Right after the conclusion of the second-leg final and the ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2024 award ceremony at Rajamangala Stadium (Thailand), Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation Nguyen Xuan Vu and General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu visited the hospital to inquire about and check on the injury status of player Nguyen Xuan Son.

From the hospital, forward Nguyen Xuan Son forgot the pain of his injury and smiled brightly as the Vietnam national team won 3-2 in the second-leg final, securing the ASEAN Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2024 championship. Son expressed his happiness, saying he was very pleased that the Vietnamese team had won and become the champions.
Earlier, Xuan Son had played outstandingly and with great intensity in the match against the Thailand national team but unfortunately sustained an injury that forced him to leave the field. At the hospital, doctors diagnosed that he had fractured both bones in his right shin. As a result, the player, born in 1997, will require special treatment and a significant amount of time to recover.
Despite this, Xuan Son was still very happy because, alongside the championship with his teammates, he also won two individual awards at the tournament: Top Scorer and Best Player.
After discussing with the doctors, the leaders of the Vietnam Football Federation and the coaching staff will come up with the most suitable treatment plan for Xuan Son so that he can receive the best conditions for recovery. Xuan Son’s wife has also been at the hospital to encourage and take care of him.
