Vietnam U15 women’s team continue playing consecutively in Australia, gaining experience through each match
On April 12 and 13, the Vietnam U15 women’s team entered a packed schedule of matches at the invitational tournament in Australia, facing strong opponents in succession to gain experience and further improve their playing style.
Yesterday afternoon (April 12), in a rematch against Queensland U15 women’s team — the second-placed side after three rounds — Vietnam U15 women’s team started the game brightly. In the very first minute, Truong Khanh Chi opened the scoring to make it 1–0. However, the opponents equalized in the 15th minute and then went ahead 2–1 in the 30th minute. In the 55th minute, Le Thi Bao Tram stepped up with a crucial equalizer to make it 2–2, sealing a draw at full time.
In the morning of April 13, Vietnam U15 women’s team played against Football West U15. The match saw Vietnam dominate possession and create several dangerous chances, but they were unable to convert them into goals. Notably in the 43rd minute, from an effective wide attacking combination, Quynh Lam delivered a cross that forced the opposition defender to clear the ball onto the crossbar. Bao Tram rushed in for the rebound but still could not beat the opposing defense. The match ultimately ended in a 0–0 draw.
In the afternoon of April 13, Vietnam U15 women’s team will continue their next match against Capital Football U15 women’s team. This is their third match in less than 24 hours, reflecting a very high match intensity at the tournament. It is also an opportunity for the coaching staff to continue squad rotation and experimentation, helping players improve physical fitness, mental resilience, and gain more international match experience.
