The Vietnam Women’s Futsal National Team has strengthened its squad for the 2025 AFC Women’s Futsal Championship qualifiers

Accordingly, 8 athletes have been added to the team: Lê Trịnh Khánh Linh, Biện Thị Hằng, Nguyễn Thị Tú Anh, Trần Thị Thùy Trang, Danh Lâm Kim Phụng, K’Thủa, Ngô Thị Hồng Nhung, and Trần Thị Thu Xuân. These players officially started training with the entire team from December 16. Previously, the Vietnam Women’s Futsal National Team had gathered since December 2 with 12 players to prepare for the 2025 AFC Women’s Futsal Championship qualifiers.
Entering the third week of training in Ho Chi Minh City, under the guidance of head coach Nguyễn Đình Hoàng, the players of the Vietnam Women’s Futsal National Team continue to focus on tactical and physical training. Once the team is fully assembled, the coaching staff will prepare a more detailed training plan for the upcoming sessions, before organizing practice matches to select positions for the core lineup.
The 2025 AFC Women’s Futsal Championship qualifiers will take place from January 15 to January 19. According to the draw results, the Vietnam Women’s Futsal Team is in the same group as Macau (China), Chinese Taipei, and hosts Myanmar. Under the guidance of coach Nguyễn Đình Hoàng, the team will face Myanmar, Macau (China), and Chinese Taipei on January 15, 17, and 19, 2025, respectively.
“After previous successes, our opponents will be more cautious and analyze the Vietnam team more carefully, so the upcoming tournament will not be easy. The coaching staff and the entire team will make efforts and have a detailed plan for the next competition. I believe that the Vietnam Women’s Futsal Team will overcome the qualifiers to secure a spot in the final round,” Coach Đình Hoàng emphasized.
