According to the plan, Thien Truong Stadium will be handed over to the Organizing Committee about five days in advance for the installation of technical infrastructure and equipment required to meet the Asian Football Confederation standards for an official international match.

Speaking at the meeting, Nguyen Van Phu – General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation – stated that the selection of Thien Truong Stadium as the venue for the match is part of the federation’s orientation to bring international matches of the Vietnam national football team to various localities across the country, rather than concentrating them only in major cities.

He also spoke highly of the stadium’s facilities as well as the passionate football atmosphere in Ninh Binh Province—a locality that has experience hosting many domestic professional tournaments as well as international competitions. At the same time, he expressed confidence that with close coordination between the Vietnam Football Federation and the provincial authorities, the organization of the match will be implemented professionally, contributing to delivering a high-quality football event that meets the standards of the Asian Football Confederation.

On behalf of the local Organizing Committee, Nguyen Tan Anh – Deputy Director of the Ninh Binh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism – affirmed that the province will mobilize all relevant forces and closely coordinate with the Vietnam Football Federation to ensure the best possible conditions for the organization of the match. He emphasized that hosting a match of the Vietnam national football team is not only significant from a sporting perspective but also an opportunity to promote the image of Ninh Binh Province, a land rich in historical and cultural heritage, to fans both domestically and internationally.

The match between the Vietnam national football team and the Malaysia national football team will take place on March 31, 2026 at Thien Truong Stadium and is expected to attract great attention from football fans nationwide.
