From the opening whistle, Vietnam proactively pushed their formation high, piling intense pressure on the opposing half. Notably, coach Kim Sang-sik handed a starting debut to newcomer Do Hoang Hen. In his first appearance, the midfielder played with high energy, showing great mobility alongside Tuan Hai and Hai Long in the attacking line.

As early as the 4th minute, Vietnam created their first dangerous chance when Tien Anh delivered a precise low cross for Hoang Hen to rush in and finish, though his shot lacked accuracy. Just minutes later, the home side continued their onslaught with a strike from Quang Hải and another opportunity for Hoang Hen, but they were unable to convert these chances into goals.

The relentless pressure finally paid off in the 8th minute. From Tien Anh’s awkward corner kick that troubled the Bangladesh defense, Tuan Hai seized the opportunity with a close-range finish to open the scoring for Vietnam.

The home side maintained their dominance, with Hoang Hen and Hoang Duc testing the opposing goalkeeper with a series of dangerous strikes in the 16th minute. In the 20th minute, Bangladesh managed a notable response with a long-range shot from Foysal Fahim, but goalkeeper Dang Van Lam stayed focused to make the save.

In the 24th minute, from a set-piece on the right wing, Quang Hai delivered a pinpoint cross for Xuan Manh to rise high and head the ball home, doubling the lead to 2-0. Before the first half concluded, Hai Long made his mark in the 38th minute with a skillful dribble followed by a precise left-footed strike, securing a comfortable 3-0 advantage for the Vietnamese side.

As the second half got underway, coach Kim Sang-sik made several tactical and personnel adjustments. Striker Nguyen Xuan Son was brought on to bolster the attacking force. Although Vietnam did not maintain the same relentless intensity as the first half, they continued to create several notable opportunities.

In the 49th minute, Xuan Son had his first opportunity but was unable to capitalize on it. Meanwhile, Bangladesh created a notable chance when Fahim broke through for a one-on-one, but Xuan Manh tracked back in time to clear the danger.

For the remainder of the match, Vietnam continued to craft several dangerous plays. In the 71st minute, Van Khang found himself face-to-face with the goalkeeper, but his finish was less than clinical. Moments later, Xuan Son narrowly missed a golden opportunity from Van Khang’s inviting low cross. In the 88th minute, Hoang Hen almost added a fourth with a curling shot that rattled the post.

Ultimately, the Vietnam national team secured a 3-0 victory over Bangladesh, providing a perfect momentum-builder ahead of their crucial match against Malaysia on March 31.
