Van Hoa Haiphong were too strong for their visitors Quang Nam. It took them 12 minutes to open the scoring with a goal by Ngoc Thanh.
Five minutes later, Minh Chau extended the lead for the hosts. Ngoc Thanh scored his second goal on 31 minutes. Abdalla made it 3-0 one minute later.
 
Thanh An narrowed the gap for the visitor just before half-time.
 
However, Van Hoa Haiphong scored three more goals in the second half by Minh Chau, Dang Khoa and Minh Thien.
 
The victory put Van Hoa Haiphong in fourth place with nine points.
Elsewhere in An Giang, the hosts beat bottomed team Da My Nghe Saigon 5-1 to go top of the table.
 
Despite the absence of Thai skipper Issawa Singtong, the hosts proved too strong for their visitors. De Souza opened the scoring after three minutes. Trong Luat doubled the lead on 26 minutes.
After the break Nhat Truong, Cong Danh and Hoang Linh scored three more goals for the hosts while Minh Nhat was the only scorer for the visitors.
The victory earned An Giang top spot in the table, two points clear of Dong Nai, who won 3-1 over Can Tho with a brace by Dinh Cuong.

It took hosts Dong Nai 19 minutes to go ahead after Dinh Cuong”s freekick from the left found the net.

Dinh Cuong was the hosts” most dangerous player, scoring another goal nine minutes from time.

Between Dinh Cuong goals, Nguyen Quan scored a goal from a penalty.

Three goals by Carlos Rodrigues and Anh Thang helped struggling Vinakansai Ninh Binh earn their first victory, beating Military Region Four 3-1.

In the match on April 1, a goal by Thanh Khiem, helped Tien Giang have their second consecutive victory as they beat Tay Ninh 1-0.
