The Petro Vietnam Gas V-League 2009 was in progress last weekend seeing some interesting and dramatic matches. 

Making full use of being the host and support from audience, Cao su Dong Thap surprised people one more time when they defeated defending champions B. Binh Duong 1-0 at Cao Lanh Stadium by only goal from Timothy Anjembe who also made a hattrick in the first match with former champions HAGL. Cao su Dong Thap is at the top of ranking now.

The most expected game between host XM. Hai Phong and The Cong ended with an 2-1 victory for the host. At My Dinh stadium, Cong Vinh scored one goal to bring T&T Hanoi a 1-0 win over SHB Da Nang. Whereas, SLNA was held scoreless draw by K. Khanh Hoa. 

HAGL could not get out of tunnel when the two-time V-League champions was beaten 1-0 by HCM City FC at Thong Nhat stadium. This is second consecutive lost of HAGL and it shows that coach Dusit has many things to do for a better future. 

Meantime, Mikado Nam Dinh beat XMCT. Thanh Hoa 1-0 and Dong Tam Long An defeated Quan Khu 4 2-0.   

Petro Vietnam Gas V-League 2009 is becoming more and more attractive. There are more fans coming to stadiums to enjoy football. As statistic, there were of about 78.000 fans getting inside stadiums at second round, about 11.143 fans/match in average. This is a good start for new football season.
