Head coach Park Hang-seo: “Vietnam national team ready for the challenge”

Speaking after the drawing ceremony of FIFA World Cup 2022 Asian 3rd Qualifier, head coach Park Hang-seo said that the opponents in group B are all rated stronger than the Vietnamese team. However, he and his team are ready for the challenge with the highest spirit.

Vietnam National team had an outstanding performance in the FIFA World Cup 2nd Qualifier, therefore joining in the round of 12 best teams in Asia. Centralised venues for Asian Qualifiers confirmed

Following a process of close consultation with Asia’s Member Associations, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has today confirmed the centralised venues for the Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ and AFC Asian Cup China 2023™ matches scheduled to take place from 31 May to June 15, 2021.

World Cup qualifying matches moved to June 2021

On the afternoon of Feb 17, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) organized a webinar meeting to postpone the matches in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers to June 2021. On behalf of VFF, General Secretary Lê Hoài Anh and Director of National Teams Department Đoàn Anh Tuấn joined the meeting.
